Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body including glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, creatine phosphate formation, nucleic acid synthesis, amino acid activation, cardiac and smooth muscle contractability, cyclic AMP formation, and protein synthesis.

The emphasis of Magnesium Formulae 1 and 2 is on supplying good levels of magnesium without the moderating effect of calcium. Magnesium is an essential nutrient in the production of cell energy (ATP), therefore there is an increased need for magnesium in all chronic conditions. It is also an important mineral for maintaining the cardiovascular system, nervous and muscular systems and skeletal structure.

Magnesium Formula One provides the addition of easily utilised trace minerals. Both formulae include the full range of vitamin co-factors needed for optimum action, ie. the B vitamin group and vitamin A.
